PLANTS WITH PURPOSE Improving the life of the American farmer by eliminating the early stages of cultivation risk

 NEW PRODUCT FOR THE INDUSTRY

Bazelet Oglesby has created an entirely new product category for the hemp industry by normalizing the full time availability of high quality, affordable, and reliable ready-to-plant stage IV hemp plants – anytime, anywhere.

WHAT ARE STAGE IV PLANTS?

Throughout the lifespan of a plant, there are several stages. The final one being when the plant reaches full physiological maturity. Stage IV is known as “acclimatization”, where the plant acclimates to a typical growing environment. This process involves gradually moving the plant to open-air conditions with reduced humidity and increased light levels. This is where Bazelet Oglesby makes its revolutionary mark on the industry.

WHY FARMERS WANT OUR PRODUCT

When purchasing seeds from a vendor there is a great deal of risk. The farmer trusts that the vendors promise of a seed comes to fruition as a healthy plant. The hemp industry has remained illegal for decades prior to 2018, following the early years of legalization, the only option available to hemp producers was to purchase seeds. Bazelet Oglesby has proffered an invaluable opportunity to the industry by virtually eliminating the risk involved with early stage hemp cultivation by provided ready-to-plant stage IV plants.

B azelet brings over 50 years of breeding and genetic research of Cannabis Sativa L and is part of the world’s largest seed bank. Bazelet brings together a global team of horticultural specialists that unite a host of science-based solutions with substantial knowledge and experience in plant physiology, weed management, replant problems, pest and disease control, and sustainable agriculture.

NEXT GENERATION GENETICS

STATE OF THE ART FACILITIES

With more than $4M in facility upgrades completed in February 2020, Bazelet Oglesby can serve its commercial, university, and government clients with scaled quantities of their genetics.

Bazelet Oglesby forms one of the most experienced companies in plant tissue culture with intimate knowledge of the cannabis Sativa L plant. Bazelet’s PTCC specializes in tissue culture transformation and breeding with capabilities to produce over 10 million Stage II, III, and IV hemp plants annually. Today, we offer various tissue culture related services, such as contract research and contract propagation.

PLANT TISSUE CULTURE CENTER

SEED BREEDING

As part of Bazelet’s vertically integrated genetic development, we breed and grow new seedlings of elite Cannabis Sativa L genetics for our customers and the global marketplace. Bazelet and its university lab partners leverage CRISPR Gene-Editing and Genomic Sequencing Technology together with our tissue culture lab where the desired specimen will be grown and replicated. We then establish a base that will be grown into seedlings. Developed to meet and exceed EU and USDA certification requirements, Bazelet Oglesby aim to breed the most successful stage IV hemp plants that have already made their plant varieties popular worldwide.

Our Young Plant division consistently grows high quality “liners” using the industry’s best technology for growing starter plants. With more than $4M in facility upgrades completed in February 2020, incorporating the latest and most efficient handling equipment, Bazelet Oglesby can serve its commercial, university, and government clients with scaled quantities of their genetics. Our greenhouses are monitored and controlled 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with environmental computers ensuring proper conditions so that our young plants are grown under optimal conditions to give our customers consistent quality and on-time delivery from start to finish.

YOUNG PLANT NURSERY

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

To ensure the continuous flow of new strain varieties, we have committed significant resources to our product development department that manages an extensive breeding program. Our breeders not only enhance the quality of the plant but also improve disease and insect resistance properties that benefit both the grower and consumer.

Once a new variety is accepted into our program, our laboratory research department begins developing tissue culture protocols that are then tested thoroughly. We are developing these plants to be successful in the various farm environments around the US and around the world.

We have two product development teams, each focused on separate disciplines in industrial applications and food, drug and cosmetic programs.

Let us develop genetics for your medical, consumer, or industrial hemp needs.
